Texas Music Educators
We’re trained to perform through discomfort and
rarely taught what to do with it afterward.
High expectations. Constant evaluation. Performances that carry real weight.
When pushing through becomes the default, it can quietly pull us away from focus, confidence, and enjoyment.
If you’re looking for a way to work with the demands of music and not just push through them,
you’re in the right place.

Hi, I’m Kristin.
I’m a licensed professional counselor who works specifically with Texas musicians and music educators navigating anxiety, burnout, professional pressure, performance-related stress, and life transitions. My background as a cellist and former music educator shapes how I build practical support that fits the realities of musical and teaching life.
How I can support you
When pressure shows up, it often shows up in the body first. In our work together, we focus on practical skills you can use in real moments, before a performance, during rehearsal, after a hard teaching day, or when expectations feel heavy.
Our work together emphasizes composure, focus, and routines that support consistency over time. The goal is not to eliminate pressure, but to help you meet it with steadiness and clarity, both in your work and in daily life.
If you are unsure whether individual counseling or group support is the best fit, we can talk it through during a free 15-minute consultation.
The first step is simple.
Schedule a free 15-minute consultation to talk through what you’re experiencing and explore whether individual counseling or group support may be the right next step.
